This season's all star game went to the Ken/Wasabi/Chris coached Eastern squad. The West, competently managed by Porter/Benincasa, went down in a narrow defeat. The final score was East 3; West 2.

BENINCASA DENIES RUMORS OF APPOINTMENT TO BOARD OF GOVERNORS
In a written statement released today, NHL Commissioner Benincasa denied rumors that he has been asked to join the Board of Governors. While Benincasa admits he is "open to the idea", the commissioner would not confirm speculation that he has been asked to join the board. "All I am worried about is making sure the playoffs are a success", said Benincasa, "lets save speculation and rumors for the off season".
